ACL Race Series are trimetal rod bearings designed for engines operating at higher RPM. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering is developed for the demands of high-performance engines.
The bearings feature steel backs to support the bearing lining and improve retention in the housing. Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for improved lining support and bearing retention
- Increased crush for improved retention in the housing
- No flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and maximum grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
