ACL Race rod bearings for VW/Audi EA855 2.5 TFSI

ACL Race Series trimetal rod bearings combine design, metallurgy and engineering for demanding operating conditions and higher engine RPM.

The design incorporates features for improved bearing retention, heat transfer and formation of a hydrodynamic oil film. The set contains ACL Race Series rod bearings.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.
• Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing.
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing.
• No flash plating on the back to improve heat transfer and maximize grip between the bearing and its housing.
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
• Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances.

Suitable for: Audi Q3 I (8U) / II (F3), Audi RS3 II (8P) / III (8V), Audi RSQ3 I (8U), Audi TT II (8J) / III (FV).

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
