ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for operation at higher RPM. Their construction uses a high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties and tight, consistent wall tolerances.
Hardened steel backs improve support for the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing. The ACL Race Series set includes 0.025 mm extra clearance.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness
- Hardened steel backs for improved bearing lining support
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer
- Increased eccentricity to assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films
Suitable for: Audi Q3 I (8U) / II (F3), Audi RS3 II (8P) / III (8V), Audi RSQ3 I (8U), Audi TT II (8J) / III (FV).
Engines: EA855 2.5 TFSI (DAZA, DNWA, CEPA, CZGB, CZGA, CTSA, CEPB). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
