The Bull-X 3.5″ / 89 mm downpipe for the Honda Civic Type R FK2 is a direct replacement for the standard part. The original heat shield above the turbocharger can remain fitted, making the downpipe almost invisible once installed.
Excellent fitment and high-quality materials ensure precise installation. For improved flow, the flange at the turbocharger outlet has been developed with an internal diameter of 90 mm, eliminating a step at the turbocharger outlet. Optimising the diameter, pipe routing and/or catalytic converter significantly reduces the load on the turbocharger. Lower back pressure and reduced thermal load provide increased torque and power, earlier response and improved service life.

Road use: The version with the EG-approved HJS catalytic converter is intended for use on public roads. All other catalytic converter versions and the decat pipe are intended for track use only.
Catalytic converter information
When selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100- or 200-cell sports catalytic converter, a fault relating to the post-catalyst lambda sensor may appear in the engine control unit. This does not affect drivability, as the first lambda sensor required for engine management remains fitted; the post-catalyst sensor only monitors catalytic converter efficiency.
On most vehicles up to Euro 3 emissions standard, no post-catalyst lambda sensor is fitted, allowing installation without further adjustment or a fault message. HJS ECE and EOBD catalytic converters have a significantly higher washcoat content and very high oxygen storage capacity, which can prevent fault messages. The EOBD catalytic converters have been tested for this purpose up to Euro 4, while their durability and use are suitable up to Euro 6 emissions standard. On Euro 5/6 vehicles, these issues can only be avoided by selecting a catalytic converter with the appropriate ECE approval.
