BULL-X Exhausts produces downpipes to the highest standard. The downpipe for the VW Golf 8 GTI from HG Motorsport can be exchanged directly for the standard part. Perfect fitment and high-quality materials make this a top-quality product. Optimising the diameter, pipe routing and/or catalytic converter can significantly reduce the load on the turbocharger. Lower back pressure and reduced thermal load provide a noticeable increase in torque and power, quicker response and, at the same time, extended service life.

Note: On approximately 2 out of 10 vehicles, the differential pressure sensors may trigger a fault despite the ECE version. Selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100- or 200-cell catalytic converter may cause a post-catalytic-converter lambda sensor fault in the ECU. This does not restrict vehicle operation, as the first lambda sensor required for engine management remains fitted. The post-catalytic sensor only monitors catalytic converter efficiency. The fault can be removed by adapting the software. Most vehicles up to Euro 3 do not have a post-catalytic sensor, so fitting is possible without further adaptation or a fault message. HJS ECE and EOBD catalytic converters have a significantly higher washcoat content and very high oxygen-storage capacity, which can prevent fault messages. For this issue, the EOBD catalytic converters have been tested up to Euro 4; service life and use are assured up to Euro 6.
Road use: Only the version with the HJS ECE catalytic converter in combination with the OPF is suitable for use on public roads. All other catalytic converter versions are intended solely for motorsport use.
Suitable for: VW Golf VIII (CD1).
