Bull-X Tronic ECE electronic component for MQB evo pre-facelift

Road use: ECE approval applies only to the selection »Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE approval)«. This version allows the valved exhaust system to be used on public roads without being entered in the vehicle documents; other versions are intended solely for track use.

While driving, you can choose between Comfort and Sport modes. If the vehicle has a drive profile selection system, it can be used for control. For vehicles without drive profile selection, control is carried out using the supplied button.

The button’s LED indicates the current valve position: when the light is off, the valve is open; when the light is on, it is closed. The control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE approval, regardless of the selected driving mode.

The Bull-X Tronic control unit offers two control options:

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): the valve is controlled within the limits permitted by the ECE approval.
• Comfort mode: the valve remains closed at all times, but opens while driving within the limits permitted by the ECE approval once the throttle is 75% open.

Suitable for: Audi A3 IV (GY), Cupra Formentor I (KM7), Cupra Leon IV (KL1), SEAT Leon IV (KL1) / IV (KL8), Škoda Octavia IV (NX3) / IV (NX5), VW Golf VIII (CD1) / VIII (CG5).

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter). Versions marked “no ECE, track use only” have no approval and are not permitted for road use. If in doubt about the version, contact us and we will check for you.
