Bull-X Tronic electronic component with ECE approval for Audi RS4/RS5 B9

With ECE approval*: *Applies only to the following selection in the “Control mode selection” field: Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE approval).

Road use: In this configuration, the valved exhaust system has ECE approval. The ECE approval applies only to the Bull-X Tronic control unit selection with ECE approval; other versions or combinations are not covered by this approval and are intended for track use.

During driving, you can choose between Comfort and Sport mode. If the vehicle has drive profile selection, the system can be controlled through it. For vehicles without drive profile selection, control is possible using the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the current valve position: the valve is open when the light is off and closed when the light is on.

The control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE approval, regardless of the selected driving mode.

In general, Bull-X Tronic offers two control options:

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): The valve is controlled within the limits permitted by the ECE approval.
• Comfort mode: The valve remains closed at all times, but opens during driving within the limits permitted by the ECE approval once the throttle is at least 75% open.

Suitable for: Audi RS4 V (B9), Audi RS5 II (F5).

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
