With ECE approval: applies only to the Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE approval) selection in the »Control mode selection« field.
This control unit is designed to operate a valve exhaust system. While driving, you can choose between Comfort and Sport mode. If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the system can be controlled through this function. On vehicles without selectable driving profiles, control is provided by the supplied button.
The button’s LED indicates the valve status: when the light is off, the valve is open; when the light is on, the valve is closed. The control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE approval, regardless of the selected driving mode.
In general, Bull-X Tronic provides two control options:
- Sport (Dynamic, Race): the valve is controlled within the limits permitted by the ECE approval.
- Comfort mode: the valve remains closed at all times, but opens while driving within the limits permitted by the ECE approval when the throttle is at least 75% open.
Road use: ECE approval applies only to the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval, used in combination with the corresponding valve exhaust system. Approval is not specified for other versions.
Suitable for: universal use (not vehicle-specific).
Approval
Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter). Versions marked “no ECE, track use only” have no approval and are not permitted for road use. If in doubt about the version, contact us and we will check for you.
