Road use: ECE approval applies only when selecting »Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE approval)« as the operating mode. The control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE regulations.
During driving, you can choose between Comfort and Sport modes. If the vehicle has a driving profile selection system, the valve can be controlled through it. On vehicles without driving profile selection, control is provided by the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the current valve position: the light is off when the valve is open and on when it is closed.
In general, Bull-X Tronic offers two control options:
- Sport (Dynamic, Race): the valve is controlled within the limits approved under the ECE regulations.
- Comfort mode: the valve remains closed at all times, but opens within the limits approved under the ECE regulations when driving with the throttle opened to 75% or more.
Suitable for: BMW 3 VI (F30/F31/F34/F80).

Approval
Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter). Versions marked “no ECE, track use only” have no approval and are not permitted for road use. If in doubt about the version, contact us and we will check for you.
