The CTS Turbo intake system for the BMW X1 and X2 xDrive 28i with B38/B48 engines uses the original airbox in combination with the included heat shield, allowing for precise fitment and improved airflow.
The 5-inch high-flow cone air filter with a 3-inch connection improves throttle response and may contribute to increased low-RPM torque and greater power in the mid-range. The stated gains are 9–15 hp, with additional potential possible with Stage 1 or Stage 2 modifications. The heat shield has openings that allow a more pronounced turbo system sound in Sport mode.
