The CTS Turbo cold air intake system is designed for second-generation MINI Cooper S models with N16 and N18 engines. It is compatible with European and North American versions of the R55, R56 and R57 models.
The factory air intake works together with the airbox to supply cold air to the intake system. The air then passes through a high-flow air filter with an inverted-cone design. The CNC mandrel-bent aluminium intake pipe ensures the smoothest possible airflow to the engine. The manufacturer states a power increase of 9–15 hp, more torque throughout the rev range and a more pronounced, race-inspired engine sound.
The factory intake pipe is known to crack or fail completely due to its brittle plastic construction. This high-flow intake system replaces all factory parts and is designed for long-term reliable use.

The kit is intended exclusively for second-generation vehicles with N16 and N18 engines.
Important: The kit does not fit some 2013-onwards models that have a moulded PCV hose connection on the factory intake system.
On N18 engines, the PCV heater connections must be removed. Resistors must be installed in the factory wiring harness to prevent fault code P053A. The resistors are included in the kit.
