The CTS Turbo heat shield retains the heat produced by the K04-0064 turbocharger. It is designed to reduce turbo lag, lower intake air temperatures, protect and extend the service life of engine components, and increase power.
By retaining exhaust gas heat in the hot side of the turbocharger and away from the cold side and intake path, more oxygen can reach the engine per unit of displacement, helping to increase power.
The heat shield fits all 2.0T FSI and TSI engines with K04 or K03 turbochargers, as well as EA113, EA888.1 and EA888.2 engines.
