The CTS Turbo low-pressure fuel supply system for FSI engines uses an additional in-tank fuel pump that can provide support at power levels above 600 hp. The system is designed to reinforce the low-pressure section of the fuel system, where FSI engines use two separate pumps: LPFP (low-pressure fuel pump) and HPFP (high-pressure fuel pump).
The additional pump is controlled by a load-based controller, so it is activated only when the engine requires additional fuel flow.
