CTS Turbo Stage 2+ turbocharger upgrade for BMW M2/M3/M4/X3M/X4M S58

CTS Turbo Stage 2+ is a kit developed specifically for the BMW S58 platform. It is based on experience from previous turbocharger projects and includes new solutions to optimise performance while retaining factory fitment.

Using transient flow analysis and flow bench measurements, the engineers optimised the twin-scroll turbine housing while retaining the factory installation, factory position and use of the original wastegate valves. The kit is therefore compatible with all downpipe systems, intake systems and charge pipes designed for factory fitment.

The result ranges from 790 whp to an impressive 959 whp and 727 wtq.

During installation, you can use the original wastegate valve controllers, high-flow downpipe systems, intake system and charge pipes. Custom modifications are not required, as the original fitment components and seals are used.

There is no need to send in or purchase old turbochargers as cores for this kit.

Each turbocharger is VSR balanced to exceed OEM tolerances. It is equipped with upgraded durable journal bearings and thrust washers.

The turbochargers are designed for high airflow at lower boost pressures. This makes it possible to achieve high power without exceeding the turbochargers’ permitted speed, contributing to reliable operation.

Features

• Brand-new twin turbocharger kit; there is no need to send in or purchase old turbochargers as cores.
• CHRA with journal bearings and direct fitment, featuring high-performance bearings, a turbine shaft diameter increased by 1.0 mm and a thrust surface increased by 2 mm.
• Milled-blade compressor wheel with a 53.0 mm inducer, 70.0 mm exducer and an extended 72.6 mm diameter tip.
• 9-blade turbocharger wheel made from Mar-M 246 superalloy, with a 52 mm inducer and 49.4 mm exducer, providing high flow.
• Exhaust housings and wastegate valve components made from 316 stainless steel. The housing is enlarged for optimal exhaust gas flow, resulting in quicker turbocharger response and a lower required WGDC control value.
• VSR balancing that exceeds OEM tolerances.
• Compatible with the original fitment components, which are not included.
• Compatible with the original wastegate valve actuators, which are not included; use the original actuators. They must be calibrated with ISTA+ before use. Maximum WGDC is 90%.

We strongly recommend using high-flow turbo intake hoses, such as CTS-HW-547.

Important: professional installation and engine tuning are required. The turbochargers require a break-in period. Maximum boost pressure is 36 psi. Custom tuning with Bootmod3 and additional components, such as fuel system and intercooler upgrades, are required.
