The CTS Turbo heat shield insulates the heat produced by a turbocharger with a T3 flange. It is designed to reduce turbo lag, lower intake air temperature, and protect engine components while extending their service life. By retaining exhaust gas heat in the hot section of the turbocharger and away from the cold side and intake tract, more oxygen per unit of displacement can reach the engine, which may help increase power.
