CTS Turbo turbo muffler delete is designed for EA888.3 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI engines outside the MQB platform, equipped with the factory turbocharger. It replaces the restrictive original turbo muffler, which is designed to reduce harmonic turbocharger noise.
The product is made as a one-piece CNC-machined construction from aircraft-grade T6 6061 aluminium and hard-anodised for reduced wear. By removing the restriction, the manufacturer states that throttle response and boost response are improved, with a gain of 6–7 hp.
- Compatible only with the factory Garrett/Honeywell MGT1752S turbocharger on the EA888.3 TSI engine.
- OE turbocharger number: 06K145874.
- Compatible with factory and CTS Turbo turbine outlet pipes.
- Installation takes approximately 30 minutes using hand tools.
- Not suitable for vehicles with the MQB platform.
