EBC Yellowstuff brake pads pioneered a new generation of “hybrid” materials that can be used safely and legally on public roads worldwide. They are a high-grip upgrade for all kinds of fast road driving, and with proper bedding-in they can also be used on track. Yellowstuff has been EBC’s flagship pad for over a decade – it gives instant brake response, great feel and modulation with smooth, quiet braking. In 2021 the formula was improved: the pads are now copper-free and comply with all the latest environmental legislation. The pads come fully fitted with shims, chamfered edges and slots. EBC Yellowstuff is supplied with a brake-in coating on the pad friction surface that speeds up bedding-in after installation.
With a stable friction coefficient of 0,42 mu up to racing temperatures of 450 °C, Yellowstuff is a very popular pad with drivers of kit cars and lighter race cars. Although the compound is heat-cured, it requires careful bedding-in before racing. If you plan a track day, we recommend driving on the pads on the road for a while first so they bed in properly.
