EGO-X 3″ exhaust system for Ford Mustang VI 5.0 V8/2.3 EcoBoost

This EGO-X/Bull-X Valved exhaust system for the Ford Mustang is hand-fabricated using TIG/MIG welding. It consists of absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3″ (76 mm).

If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the exhaust valve can be controlled through this function. For vehicles without selectable driving profiles, a supplied switch can be used. The switch’s LED indicates the valve position: when the light is off, the valve is open; when it is on, the valve is closed.

The Bull-X Tronic control unit provides two operating modes:

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): the valve remains open while driving within the limits permitted by the ECE regulations, but is always closed when stationary.
• Comfort: the valve remains closed, opening while driving within the permitted ECE range from 75% throttle opening.

Road use: ECE approval applies only when the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval is selected and an approved EG catalytic converter is used. All other control and/or catalytic-converter combinations are intended for track use only.

Suitable for: Ford Mustang VI (LAE) / VI (S550).

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
