Aluminium radiator for Renault Megane RS250/265/275.
The original Renault radiator is known to suffer from coolant temperature issues. Its design flaw is that the inlet and outlet are positioned in a straight line across the radiator core. At high engine revs, when the need for cooling is greatest, most of the flow passes straight across the core and bypasses approximately 75% of its volume. In addition, 25% of the core with the best flow is directly behind the crossmember and therefore has no direct airflow.
Forge Motorsport engineers increased the radiator surface area and used a high-efficiency core with a unique flow improvement. This ensures that the coolant passes evenly across the entire core, while also taking into account the area of restricted airflow behind the bumper. Independent testing measured a 20°C reduction in the maximum coolant temperature and a 15°C reduction in track oil temperature.
