Important: This product is not compatible with the original intercooler. It can only be used with an aftermarket intercooler that has a 63–67 mm diameter outlet on the cold side. It works perfectly with the Forge FMINT15 intercooler.
The boost pipe runs from the intercooler outlet to the intake manifold. There was room for improvement in the original pipe, so a 70 mm aluminium pipe with mandrel bends and silicone couplers was developed.
CNC-machined fittings made from aluminium billet are integrated into the pipe, allowing all original mounting hardware to be used. Compared with the original pipe, the diameter of the flow channel is increased from 51 mm to an outside diameter of 70 mm. The larger diameter allows improved airflow and a greater volume of air entering the engine, which is particularly beneficial for vehicles with modified software.
The pipe also features a 1/8″ port for injecting a water-methanol mixture or nitrous oxide. This makes it possible to reduce intake air temperature when loading the 2.0-litre Hyundai engine.
