The silicone-reinforced vacuum hose is designed as a cost-effective replacement for a worn original hose or as a preventative replacement to help avoid potential failure.
The 225/210 hp 1.8T engines fitted in the Audi TT MK1, SEAT Leon Cupra R and Audi S3 use a rubber hose on the intake manifold that supplies the brake vacuum system. The hose is prone to failure, which can cause a loss of engine power and reduced braking performance. The original replacement hose is only available together with the rigid pipes, resulting in a considerable and unnecessary additional cost.
- The Forge silicone hoses in this kit have an inner lining made from modified silicone, known as fluorosilicone.
- They are therefore suitable for use with modern long-life coolants, coolants based on organic acid technology (O.A.T.) and air containing oil mist.
