Forge Motorsport high-flow valve for Audi RS3 8V/8Y and TTRS 8S

This valve kit is a development of the FMARSDV diverter valve that Forge Motorsport offers for the RS3 with the 8P chassis. It is intended for Audi TTRS vehicles with the 8S chassis and Audi RS3 vehicles with the 8V/8Y chassis that have already been upgraded or will be upgraded to more than 450 hp.

Audi did not significantly change the design of the original diverter valve in the newer RS3, so the 8V chassis experiences the same issues as its predecessor. On vehicles producing more than 450 hp, faults may occur randomly due to incorrect operation of the original solenoid valve. The original valve operates according to the intended principle, but at the boost pressure required for 450 hp, it cannot move a sufficient volume of air. During gear changes, the ECU therefore detects excessive positive pressure in the MAP readings and concludes that the valve is not operating correctly.

Forge Motorsport analysed the issue in detail and found that the valve opening in the original elbow was too small to provide an effective solution. A new elbow was therefore developed with a significantly larger DV connection, allowing a larger valve to be fitted. At the same time, the internal flow through the elbow has been improved and the restrictions in the valve have been reduced. Audi changed the design of the elbow because of a different flap, so the design of this kit was also adapted.

As this engine uses MAP sensor-based control rather than MAF, unlike many other Audi engines, the kit allows the valve to be used as a recirculating valve or with an atmospheric discharge, i.e. blow-off function.

The kit includes a reinforced white spring intended for vehicles with an upgraded ECU.
