Forge Motorsport turbo actuator for Ford Focus ST

The Forge Motorsport turbocharger actuator for Ford Focus ST is a replacement actuator designed for more precise boost pressure adjustment and improved control of turbocharger operation. It is made from 6026-grade aluminium, machined and hand-polished.

The actuator is vehicle- and turbocharger-specific. On the Ford Focus ST, compatibility with the installed turbocharger must be checked; the compatibility table also lists the Ford S-Max I with a 2.5 Petrol engine.

Features

• fluorosilicone diaphragm reinforced with Nomex material,

Diaphragm sealing is the standard configuration, while piston sealing offers equivalent performance and less maintenance thanks to the durable design of the piston internals.

On modern engines with electronic control via the ECU or a solenoid valve, the mechanical spring pressure does not necessarily equal the target boost pressure. When choosing a spring, take into account the vehicle, the installed turbocharger and the planned level of modification.

The kit includes:

• 1 × FMACST actuator,
• 1 × Forge sticker.

The actuator is fitted as standard with the supplied spring. To use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, Diaphragm Type 2, 049 must be selected. The stated spring pressures according to the colour markings describe the mechanical part of operation and are not directly equal to the target pressure on engines with electronic control.
