The FMHFIP1 high-flow intake pipe is a direct replacement for the restrictive original intake pipe and integrated resonator on MINI B38 and B48 turbocharged engines.

The one-piece pipe, made from lightweight mandrel-bent aluminium with CNC-machined connectors, eliminates the flow disturbance and restrictions caused by the factory plastic pipe and resonant chamber. The result is more efficient airflow, improved turbocharger response and a more pronounced intake system sound throughout the rev range.

Compared with the fragile original plastic design, the Forge pipe uses a precisely formed aluminium pipe, hand TIG-welded CNC-machined couplers and a smooth, continuous internal airflow path.

For easy installation, it retains compatibility with the original connection components, including:

• vacuum connections;
• original mounting points.

Installation is therefore possible without cutting, modification or other additional alterations. The FMHFIP1 can be fitted with the original MINI air filter housing or the Forge Motorsport FMINDF56/FMINDK26 intake system.

The included silicone couplers provide reliable sealing and long-term reliability, even at increased boost pressure and temperatures.

The pipe is shaped to fit the limited space between the engine, chassis and surrounding components on the MINI F5X platform. No modifications to the bodywork or surrounding hoses are required during installation.

Important compatibility information

The product is intended for earlier versions of the MINI B38 and B48 turbocharged engines. It does not fit 306 hp JCW models, GP3 models or later LCI2 versions with 306 hp, as they use a revised intake and turbo configuration.

Suitable for: MINI Clubman II (F54), MINI Countryman II (F60), MINI Mini Convertible III (F57), MINI Mini III (F55) / III (F56).
