The Forge turbo blanket (turbocharger heat shield) is designed to limit the radiant heat generated by the turbocharger. It has been tested in demanding conditions, including road racing and on the racetrack, and helps protect and extend the service life of surrounding engine components.
During the first few heat cycles, the heat shield will lose some flexibility as the material hardens. Once fitted, do not remove it, as this may damage it.
Exhaust gas heat remains contained on the hot side of the turbocharger and is transferred less to the cold side and intake tract. This reduces intake air temperatures, while the surrounding engine components are better protected from heat saturation.
