The original PCV valve on the TFSI engine is quite sensitive. Over time or under high boost pressure, the membrane in the valve can split, allowing too many gases to enter the intake manifold at idle past the pistons (blowby), which may appear as smoke from the exhaust. During driving, a loss of boost pressure and other problems may also occur.
The Forge Motorsport PCV delete kit is a simpler solution. It redirects engine ventilation to the rear outlet of the camshaft cover. The kit removes the PCV valve and connects its two internal ports, thereby mimicking the operation of the original valve under boost pressure, but without sensitive components that could split or tear. The intake manifold is therefore completely separated from the camshaft cover.
The kit also seals the port at the end of the intake manifold that was previously connected to the PCV valve and replaces it with a set of FMBGFK2 fittings for a boost pressure gauge. Three vacuum hose fittings and blanking screws are included, so you can use them for a boost pressure gauge or water injection controller, or blank them all off.
The kit contains all the parts required for installation, as well as complete fitting instructions.
