Forge Motorsport short shifter for Abarth 500/595/695 (Fiat 500 II/312)

The Forge Motorsport short shifter for Fiat Abarth 500/595/695 was specifically designed and tested to provide a more direct driving feel. The shorter and faster shift throw can be adjusted to suit your preferences, helping you make better use of your Fiat Abarth’s potential.

3D scanning and 3D-printed prototypes were used during development. With a short shifter, it is crucial that the shift cables are no more deflected than with the original (OEM) shifter.

3D scanning and 3D CAD

3D scans enabled the precise positioning of the shift ball stud in the same plane as the original shifter. A 3D-printed prototype was then used to verify the findings before the design was manufactured in Forge Motorsport’s own machine shop.

As the shifter is adjustable, you can easily change the shift throw length using a 16 mm spanner. The shift throw can be set to suit your preferences – from the standard length to a maximum reduction of 73% with each gear change.

The position display shows neutral, the shortest fourth-gear position with the FMSS8 and the fourth-gear position with the original shifter. As shown, the shift throw can be significantly reduced.

This shortens shift times and reduces the chance of selecting the wrong gear, making the kit suitable for track driving and fast road driving.

The kit includes everything required for installation, including colour instructions. Installation takes approximately 1.5 hours.
