Forge Motorsport short shifter for Hyundai i20 N

The Forge Motorsport short shifter for the Hyundai i20 N is an adjustable, precisely engineered solution for shortening the gear shift throw.

3D scanning, CAD and 3D printing

3D scanning and 3D-printed prototypes were used during the development of this short shifter. It was crucial to ensure that the shift cables were no more offset than with the original solution. 3D scanning allowed the shift ball stud mounting to be positioned in the same plane as on the original part. The findings were then verified with a 3D-printed prototype before the final design was produced in the company’s own machine shop.

As the short shifter is adjustable, you can easily change the shift throw length using a 16 mm spanner. The throw of each gear can be shortened by more than 33%.

The product reduces shift times and lowers the risk of selecting the wrong gear, making it suitable for track driving and fast road driving.

The kit includes everything required for installation. Installation takes approximately 1 hour, and instructions are also included.
