Forge Motorsport short shifter for Peugeot 208/308 GTI and Citroën DS3 Performance

The Peugeot 308 GTI is a capable car for everyday and track driving, but the longer shifter travel slightly detracts from the driving experience. Forge Motorsport presents the FMSS6, an adjustable short shifter kit for the Peugeot 308 GTI.

3D scanning and 3D-printed prototypes were used during development. It was essential to ensure that the shift cables were not deflected further than with the standard linkage. Using 3D scans, the repositioned ball stud was placed in the same plane as on the original part, while the 3D-printed prototype made it possible to verify the solution before production in the company’s own machine shop.

As the shifter is adjustable, you can easily switch between the original travel length and the shortened position using a 16 mm spanner. The travel of each gear can be reduced by up to 64%.

The kit shortens shift times and reduces the chance of selecting the wrong gear, making it suitable for track driving and fast road driving.

The kit includes everything required for installation, including the supplied tool for removing the pin, which makes removing the original gear lever easier, as well as colour instructions. Installation takes approximately 1.5 hours.
