The Toyota Yaris GR and Corolla GR are performance-focused models where the gearshift feel can be improved. The gear lever already has a sporty feel as standard, but the travel is relatively long. The Forge Motorsport short shifter kit enables sharper, shorter and more precise gear changes.
The kit was designed and developed using Solidworks CAD software. The CNC-machined solid-material linkage clamp fits onto part of the original mechanism and shortens the travel when shifting up and down. The adjustment is fully customisable, and the travel can be shortened by 40–60 %, allowing you to tailor the gearshift to your driving style.
The gear lever housing is made from 6082 aerospace-grade aluminium and finished with black and red anodising for protection and durability. The machined stainless steel adjustment pin fits precisely into the existing gear cable and further contributes to precise gear changes.
Detailed installation instructions are included. Installation requires no special tools and takes less than one hour.
