Check gearbox compatibility by looking for the embossed OEM code 8J0 711 046 E on the original gear lever mechanism. The Forge Motorsport short shifter is designed for VAG Group vehicles with 6-speed transverse manual gearboxes MQ350, O2M and O2Q.
Once fitted, it shortens gear lever travel, enabling faster gear changes during spirited driving. Thanks to its continuously adjustable rotary mechanism, you can tailor the travel to your preferences – from the standard setting to 40% shorter gear lever travel.
The kit is supplied with two pin sizes and one ball stud, allowing it to be adapted to the different gear linkage cables used in these vehicles.
After installation, the gear linkage cables must be readjusted according to the fitting instructions. This ensures correct operation of the product and prevents additional loads on connected components.
Important: The product is not suitable for Skoda Fabia, Volkswagen Polo and Seat Ibiza models or versions with a 1.9 diesel engine.
