The Forge Motorsport turbo blanket is designed to limit the radiant heat generated by the turbocharger. Its construction is resistant to demanding conditions and helps protect and extend the service life of engine components. The special design helps reduce turbo lag and lower intake air temperature.
The material will lose some of its flexibility during the first few heat cycles as it cures. After fitting the blanket, therefore do not remove it, as this may damage it.
The blanket retains exhaust gas heat in the hot side of the turbocharger and directs it away from the cold side and intake tract. This can allow more oxygen per unit of displacement to reach the engine.
