The Forge Motorsport FMTUBL15 turbo blanket is designed specifically for the original turbochargers of the Renault Megane II and III R.S. It replaces the basic original heat shield and further limits the radiant heat generated by the turbocharger. The blanket also includes additional protection for the downpipe.
The design is made for the most demanding conditions and has been proven to withstand up to 1370 °C (2500 °F) of radiant heat, helping to protect and extend the service life of engine components.
The turbo blanket retains exhaust gas heat within the hot side of the turbocharger and directs it away from the cold side and intake path. This helps reduce turbo lag and intake air temperature, which can contribute to increased power.
