Forge Motorsport turbocharger actuator for Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV/V/VI/VII/VIII

The Forge Motorsport upgraded turbocharger actuator is designed as a replacement for the original part on Mitsubishi Evo IV/V/VI/VII/VIII models. The serviceable design features a reinforced diaphragm and a CNC-machined aluminium bracket.

The actuator is supplied with a pre-selected spring suitable for the factory boost pressure or slightly higher pressure. A stiffer spring is also available. The actuator is designed to increase the boost pressure of the turbocharger system, but the actual setting depends on the limitations of the engine management system, whether factory-fitted or aftermarket.

When choosing a spring, note that the stated pressure for the relevant colour code describes only the mechanical aspect of operation. This applies primarily to older turbocharged engines where boost pressure is not controlled by the ECU and solenoid valves. On modern engines with ECU and solenoid valve control, the target boost pressure does not necessarily correspond directly to the stated mechanical spring specification.

The standard version has a diaphragm-sealed interior. A piston-sealed version is also available, providing comparable performance and less maintenance thanks to its durable piston construction.

The housing, external components and fasteners may also be available in stainless steel. All actuator rods are made from grade 303 stainless steel.

Consult a qualified tuner to select the correct spring for your model and planned level of modification. The FMAS049 spring range is used with the T2 spring.
