Forge Motorsport turbocharger actuator for the Vauxhall Corsa VXR and Vauxhall Astra 1.6 GTC with a 1.6T engine.

Forge Motorsport was one of the first to develop and manufacture a two-piece replacement turbocharger actuator from aluminium. This version enables more precise adjustment and control of the required boost pressure, which can improve responsiveness and turbocharger control.

Important:

The spring pressure values are the minimum regulated values. The actuator is supplied with the standard spring, while a stronger spring can also be used for vehicles with upgrades.

The actuator is designed to increase the turbocharger system’s output boost pressure. The actual setting depends on the parameters of the engine management system, which may be factory-fitted or aftermarket. When selecting the spring, also consider the capabilities of the engine and associated systems.

The diaphragm-sealed interior is the standard version of this actuator. A piston-sealed interior is also available, providing comparable operation and less maintenance due to the durable piston seal design.

The actuator is fitted with the standard spring as supplied. To use the FMPACTUN spring tuning kit, the Type 2, 049 diaphragm version must be selected.

All actuator rods are manufactured from 303-grade stainless steel.

The stated spring pressures according to the colour markings apply only to the mechanical part of the system and are directly applicable mainly to older turbocharged engines without control via the ECU or solenoid.

On modern engines with control via the ECU or solenoid, the target boost pressure is not necessarily the same as the mechanical spring value. When selecting a spring for a specific model and planned level of modification, follow the recommendations of a qualified tuner.

For the T2 spring range, the designation is FMAS049.
