FMTUBL16 is a turbocharger heat shield specifically designed for a perfect fit on the IHI turbocharger in Fiat Abarth 500/595/695 vehicles before the 595 version. The design is adapted to the most demanding conditions of use and has been tested to withstand radiant heat of up to 1370 °C (2500 °F), helping to protect engine components and extend their service life.

The innovative design retains exhaust gas heat within the hot side of the turbocharger and directs it away from the cold side and intake path. This helps reduce turbocharger response lag and intake air temperature, which can contribute to increased performance.
