HFI carbon air intake system for VAG 1.6–2.0 TDI EA188/EA189 (Golf 5/6, A3 8P)

This intake kit replaces the complete air filter housing, including the plastic intake snorkel. Even during removal, you will see that the plastic intake snorkel fitted by the vehicle manufacturer is quite restrictive. The HFI intake system is made from carbon fibre and uses a special DRY Pipercross performance air filter in the airbox, developed specifically for this system. The filter is not oiled, so it cannot damage the mass air flow sensor.

• carbon airbox with vibration damper for the intake pipe
• Pipercross performance air filter
• connecting hose for connection to the mass air flow sensor
• Quick-Tap connection for connecting the vacuum hose to the intake
• fitting hardware (clamps, adapters …)

Road use: a component certificate for registering the modification under §19.3 is included with the kit.

Note: the OEM engine cover must be modified to ensure a perfect fit. 2 cm must be removed from the right-hand outer corner.

Suitable for: Audi A3 II (8P), VW Golf V (1K) / VI (5K1).
