HFI Carbon Airbox air intake system for VAG 1.8T 20V K03/K04 (Golf 4, S3 8L)

This intake kit replaces the standard air filter and plastic intake snorkel. Even during removal, it becomes clear that the plastic intake snorkel fitted by the vehicle manufacturer is rather restrictive.

The HFI intake system is made from carbon fibre and uses an un-oiled HF500 air filter by Pipercross as its filter element. With an airflow of 503.1 cfm, it provides sufficient potential for excellent results with power upgrades and turbocharger upgrades.

Fresh air is supplied through the included ‘motorsport intake hose’, which can be fitted into the wheel arch or, on vehicles without xenon headlights, behind the bumper.

Road use: A parts certificate (Teilegutachten) is supplied to support registration of the conversion under §19.3. Local requirements for individual approval and registration of the conversion must be observed.

Note: The additionally available aluminium intake pipe is suitable only for K04 turbochargers rated at 209/225 PS. It is the ideal complement to the kit for achieving maximum performance.
