HG Motorsport 76 mm turbo inlet pipe for Ford Focus RS Mk3 350 PS

The upgraded intake pipe for the Ford Focus Mk3 RS provides maximum airflow and optimum flow characteristics. It also offers sufficient capacity for Stage 3 vehicles and vehicles with an upgraded turbocharger, helping them achieve increased power. As the original intake pipe is restrictive and features edges that are unfavourable to airflow, it is not designed for performance and actually creates turbulence and back pressure. In contrast, our upgraded intake pipe was enlarged to a maximum diameter of 76 mm following a 3D scan. As a result, airflow increased from 236cfm with the original part to an impressive 334cfm when replaced with our intake pipe, representing an improvement of more than 40 %. The OEM appearance is retained because the original centre section with the RS logo is reused, meaning that the pipe is not conspicuous once installed.

Our flow-optimised HF-Series intake pipe is ideally suited to the Focus Mk3 RS, as it is manufactured without restrictions. Thanks to its revised design, it achieves 42 % greater air mass flow than the standard component. Developed using state-of-the-art flow animations and other computer simulations, this performance component is made from aluminium and features a CNC-machined flange and hand-fabricated outlets. This allows the air to reach the turbocharger through an optimum and even flow path. The results are higher peak power and improved throttle response.

A special CNC-machined cone is used in the connection area to the turbocharger. This creates a transition without an abrupt edge and eliminates the factory-induced turbulence in this area.
