The HG Motorsport magnetic oil drain plug is an additional safety upgrade that should not be missing from your vehicle. Its neodymium magnet captures metallic particles that were not caught by the oil filter and could otherwise cause engine damage. This upgrade helps extend engine service life and reduces the amount of metallic deposits inside the engine.
The drain plug is supplied with a washer/seal, so no additional material is required for installation. Its black anodised finish and laser-engraved HG Motorsport logo also give it an appealing appearance.
Note: Check which thread your engine requires before ordering. The plug is not suitable for plastic oil sumps, such as those used with EA888 engines, for example in the Golf 7 GTI. For the M14 thread (Golf 8 GTI) and M18 thread, observe a tightening torque of 12 Nm. For the M12 thread, observe a tightening torque of 6 Nm.
Suitable for: universal use (not vehicle-specific).
