This turbo inlet has been tested under our TTG (type approval for the component) and can be combined with all EA888 Gen.4 parts that we offer with supporting test certificates, allowing the combination to be approved without an expensive individual approval.

This new HF-Series development is compatible with almost all intake systems for VAG 1.8–2.0 Euro 6 TSI EA888 engines. It can be used with the original system or, for example, with the HF-Series carbon intake.

It is an important component between the turbocharger and the intake system, because the entire route to the turbocharger must be optimised in order to make the full potential of the turbocharger and engine available. The new intake connection was developed to provide maximum flow and optimum airflow.

The original component is restrictive and also has edges that are unfavourable for airflow. It is therefore not designed for performance and even creates turbulence and back pressure. Following a 3D scan, our upgraded intake connection was enlarged to the maximum possible diameter. Modern flow animations and other computer simulations were used to develop this performance component from aluminium, with a CNC-machined flange and hand-made outlets. This allows the air to reach the turbocharger through an optimal and even flow path.

The result is higher peak power and improved throttle response.

Road use: The product has been tested under the TTG and can be combined with EA888 Gen.4 parts that have supporting test certificates, allowing the combination to be approved.

Suitable for: SEAT Leon IV (KL1), VW Golf VIII (CD1).
