This intake hose and turbo inlet for all i30 N models from the HF-Series range is compatible with the standard air filter housing, regardless of which filter is fitted. It also fits all Open-Air Intake systems designed to connect to the standard intake hose.
The intake kit is a very important component between the turbocharger and the intake system, as the full potential of the turbocharger and engine can only be made available when the entire route to the turbocharger is optimised. The new CNC-machined intake adaptor was developed together with a high-performance silicone hose of the largest possible diameter, determined using 3D scans, to provide maximum flow and optimum airflow.
Unlike products from other manufacturers whose inlets are made from heat-retaining stainless steel or aluminium pipes, the SF-Hoses silicone intake hose does not heat up and ensures a lower intake air temperature. This provides more consistent power and performance.
The original component is restrictive and also features edges that are unfavourable to airflow. It is therefore not designed for performance, but instead creates turbulence and back pressure, as clearly shown in the OEM > HF-Series comparison. The upgraded component allows air to reach the turbocharger with an optimal and consistent flow path. The results are higher peak power and improved throttle response.
