The Racingline Performance braided stainless steel front brake hose set is a direct replacement for the original rubber hoses on vehicles using the MQB platform. It is one of the most effective initial upgrades for a standard brake system, providing a firmer brake pedal and greater long-term durability.
Standard rubber brake hoses expand slightly under the high temperature and pressure generated during heavy braking. This can make the brake pedal feel soft or “spongy”, which is particularly noticeable on the track or during dynamic road driving. Racingline braided hoses effectively limit this expansion.
How they improve braking
Each hose has an inner PTFE liner wrapped in a braided stainless steel sleeve. The sleeve prevents the hose from expanding under pressure, so more of the force applied to the brake pedal is transferred directly to the brake pad pressure against the brake discs. The result is a sharper and more consistent pedal feel, together with better feedback during heavy braking or precise modulation of braking force.
The PTFE inner liner is compatible with DOT 4 brake fluid and other high-performance brake fluids. The stainless steel outer sleeve provides significantly better resistance to stone impacts, wear and corrosion than standard rubber hoses.

The kit includes:

- 4 × new banjo washers for leak-free sealing
Important: The original banjo bolts must be reused during installation. After installation, the brake system must be bled properly to remove all air; only then is the vehicle ready to drive. If you are not confident in your ability to work on brakes, have the hoses installed by a qualified professional.
