The Racingline front subframe brace is a direct-fit upgrade that increases the rigidity of the rear section of the front subframe on vehicles using the MQB and MQB EVO platforms. It is a simple yet effective improvement that sharpens steering response and improves handling precision, particularly on higher-powered vehicles, sports-tuned cars or vehicles used on the track.

The factory subframe, made from pressed steel or cast aluminium depending on the model, transfers substantial suspension, steering and drivetrain loads. When driving quickly through corners or braking hard, it can flex slightly, temporarily changing the wheel geometry and making the connection between driver and vehicle feel less direct. This brace is designed to reduce such flexing.

Effect on the vehicle

The brace is machined from a solid piece of aluminium and replaces the original component at the rear of the subframe, tying everything together into a more rigid unit. The improvement is most noticeable during turn-in and mid-corner stability, as steering feel is more direct and the front of the vehicle follows the chosen line more precisely.
