Racingline rear chassis brace for Audi A3/S3/RS3 8V/8Y saloon

The Racingline carbon-fibre rear chassis brace is designed for the 4-door saloon versions of the Audi A3, S3 and RS3. It reinforces the rear section of the body in the area where chassis flex is most noticeable, providing more precise turn-in, improved stability under load and a more connected feel behind the wheel.

Why is a rear chassis brace important?

Cars on the MQB platform are very rigid at the front, but the rear section of the body can still flex when driving quickly through corners. This affects suspension geometry and reduces the response of the dampers and springs, especially with upgraded, stiffer suspension. The result is a less precise driving feel.

The Racingline brace connects the rear upper damper mounts and key chassis mounting points, significantly increasing the rigidity of this area. The principle is similar to the factory rear brace Volkswagen used on the Golf Clubsport S, but it is made with higher-performance materials and a cleaner installation.

High rigidity and low weight

The brace uses solid aluminium brackets machined from billet, connected to each other by carbon-fibre connecting rods. Carbon fibre provides exceptional rigidity for its weight, giving you an effective brace without unnecessary additional weight. The product weighs 2.55 kg.

Greater rigidity does not negatively affect ride comfort. No additional noise, vibration or harshness is transferred into the cabin; instead, the main noticeable benefit is improved vehicle response during more demanding driving.

Clean and reversible installation

The brace bolts to the existing body mounting points, so no cutting or drilling is required. The interior trim does not need to be permanently removed, and the modification can be dismantled at any time to return the vehicle to its standard condition. It is compatible with the rear bench in its installed, folded or removed position, preserving the practicality of the boot and interior.

Compatibility

The product is intended exclusively for the 4-door saloon versions of the Audi A3/S3/RS3 from the 8V and 8Y generations. It does not fit Sportback (hatchback) or Cabriolet versions.
