The Racingline silicone intake hose is a direct replacement for the factory hose with restricted flow, used on selected vehicles with 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI engines. It is made from high-quality silicone and provides a smoother path with a larger internal diameter for airflow from the intake system to the turbocharger.
Hose function
The factory intake hose is designed primarily around cost, available space and noise reduction, rather than maximum airflow. Replacing it with the Racingline silicone hose removes the known restriction between the airbox and turbocharger, allowing the engine to breathe more freely. Combined with other Racingline intake system components, it provides a more consistent flow of cool air to the turbocharger, supporting improved throttle response and more efficient operation.
Important compatibility information
This hose is intended exclusively for use as part of a high-performance Racingline intake system. It is not a universal upgrade and is not compatible with a standard vehicle without the supporting components.
- Required: Racingline intake system (cold-air intake or airbox)
- Required: Racingline turbo intake hose elbow or Racingline turbo intake hose
Incompatibility with factory parts
The intake hose is not compatible with the following factory parts:
- Does not fit the factory airbox
- Does not fit the factory turbo intake hose elbow
If the Racingline intake system is already installed, this hose is also available as part of a larger kit to complete the system together with the Racingline turbo intake hose elbow.
The hose is intended for selected VW Group vehicle applications with 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI engines.
Suitable for: Audi S1 I (8X), SEAT Ibiza IV (6J1/6P5), VW Polo V (6C) / V (6R).
