Racingline lowering springs – VW Scirocco III and Beetle II

Racingline lowering springs (VWR31S000) improve the handling and appearance of the Volkswagen Scirocco or Beetle. They are a simple and cost-effective way to improve driving characteristics without the cost and complexity of a complete coilover kit.

Factory springs on the Scirocco and Beetle are a compromise, so there is often a large gap between the wheel arch and tyre, while the ride can be slightly soft. Replacing them with Racingline lowering springs lowers the centre of gravity, improves body control and gives the vehicle a sportier stance.

The right balance between performance and comfort

The springs are designed to provide a more precise driving feel while retaining comfort for everyday use. They are shorter and have a progressive rate, so stiffness through the middle of the stroke remains similar to standard for comfortable driving, while it increases towards the end of the stroke under heavier braking or during fast cornering.

The result is a more stable and responsive car without the harshness associated with cheaper lowering spring kits.

Compatible with standard dampers

The kit is developed specifically for use with factory dampers, which control the compression and extension of the springs. The other suspension components do not need to be upgraded for the springs to function correctly, making installation straightforward.

For the Volkswagen Beetle, the kit is intended for the 2.0 TSI (CULC) engine. For the Volkswagen Scirocco III, it is intended for the following 1.4 TSI engine versions: CAVD/CNWA/CTHD/CTKA, CAXA/CMSB, CXSB/CZCA and CZDA.
