Racingline rear subframe inserts – MQB/MQB Evo and 2.5 TFSI RS

Racingline rear subframe inserts (VWR502000) are a simple but effective handling upgrade for more demanding road and track use in VW, Audi, Cupra and Škoda vehicles on the MQB and MQB Evo platforms, as well as Audi 2.5 TFSI RS models. They reduce unwanted flex in the factory rear subframe mounts.

The factory rear subframe is attached using soft rubber mounts with large voids. Because of these voids, the rubber can deform under load. While this contributes to comfort, it also allows the subframe and differential to move during more demanding driving. As a result, the rear of the vehicle can feel less precise or less predictable during rapid direction changes and dynamic cornering.

Eliminating unwanted movement

The kit contains four precisely machined billet aluminium inserts that fill the voids in the existing rubber mounts. This significantly reduces movement of the subframe and differential without having to remove the rubber completely. The factory geometry remains stable, making the vehicle’s response to steering and throttle inputs more direct.

Because the original rubber remains in place, the inserts do not make operation harsher inside the cabin. Ride comfort is retained, with no noticeable increase in noise, vibration or harshness. They are therefore suitable for both everyday use and vehicles intended for track use.

Why billet aluminium?

Many similar products use polyurethane, which can soften, deform or wear over time. Racingline uses T6-6061 aluminium, a proven material for racing use that retains its shape over the long term. The rear suspension geometry therefore remains precisely positioned even with repeated use on the track.

Driving feel

The rear of the vehicle is generally firmer and more stable. Turn-in response is sharper, mid-corner stability is improved and power delivery on corner exit is more direct, as the differential moves less within its mounts.

The kit is intended for a wide range of VW, Audi, Cupra and Škoda models on the MQB and MQB Evo platforms, including Golf, Leon, Octavia and S3/RS3 variants, as well as Audi 2.5 TFSI RS models such as the RS3 and TT RS.
