The Racingline silicone boost hose kit is a direct replacement for the factory rubber hoses on MQB platform vehicles with the EA888 Gen.3 2.0 TSI engine. The hoses are designed for higher boost pressures without stretching or ballooning, helping to provide a more direct throttle response and more reliable long-term system operation.
Factory rubber boost hoses are often a weak point on modified EA888 engines. During prolonged operation under boost pressure, they can balloon, soften, crack or come off completely, causing a sudden loss of boost pressure and noticeably poorer engine response. Replacing them with reinforced silicone hoses is a sensible reliability upgrade for vehicles with a Stage 1 or Stage 2 tune.
Kit function
Each hose is made from multi-layer silicone with internal reinforcement to prevent stretching under pressure. This allows the boost pressure created by the turbocharger to be transferred to the engine more effectively, instead of being lost through the expansion of rubber hoses. The smooth internal diameter also helps provide more consistent airflow and less turbulence between the turbocharger, intercooler and throttle body.
On a standard vehicle, you may notice a sharper and more direct throttle response. On a modified vehicle, the effect is even more important, as the original hoses are not designed for the pressures associated with increased power after an ECU tune.

Why replace the boost hoses?
Boost hoses are often overlooked, but they are an important part of the complete turbo system. A weak hose can undermine the benefits of an upgraded intercooler, intake system or ECU tune. The silicone boost hose kit is therefore a sensible upgrade for modified EA888 engines and a preventive replacement for standard vehicles with high mileage or ageing original rubber hoses.
Note: During installation, it is recommended to use new constant-tension hose clamps to ensure reliable, long-term sealing of all connections.
