The Racingline Stage 3+ CCM rear brake kit is designed to complement the Racingline Stage 3+ CCM front kit or vehicles fitted with factory Audi front carbon-ceramic brakes. It brings carbon-ceramic brake technology to the rear axle and helps balance the braking system between the front and rear axles.
Why choose rear carbon-ceramic brakes?
Carbon-ceramic discs, often referred to as CCM (Carbon Ceramic Matrix), use a combination of carbon fibres and ceramic instead of conventional cast iron or steel. They therefore withstand heat better, are significantly lighter and have a longer service life than conventional steel brake discs.
The Racingline Stage 3+ CCM front kit set a high standard for braking performance on the MQB platform. This rear upgrade brings the same technology to the rear axle, enabling a balanced, fully ceramic braking system.
- Excellent resistance to brake fade – more than three times the thermal capacity of conventional steel brakes enables consistent braking lap after lap.
- Significantly lower weight – each 310 × 22 mm disc weighs just 3.45 kg, which is less than half the weight of the factory steel disc. Lower unsprung mass improves ride comfort and handling.
- Long service life – the construction with a discontinuous 3D matrix made from carbon fibres is designed to provide a significantly longer service life than conventional steel discs.
- Simple direct installation – no changes to the mounts or replacement of the brake calipers are required on the rear axle.
- CCM brake pads included – their compound is matched to the ceramic disc material for correct operation and a long service life.
Kit contents
The kit includes a pair of 310 × 22 mm rear carbon-ceramic brake discs and Racingline CCM brake pads, specially developed for use with ceramic discs. Using the correct brake compound is essential with ceramic discs, which is why the pads are included in the kit.

Important installation information
Carbon-ceramic brakes must be bedded in correctly before use. Follow the supplied Racingline bedding procedure precisely. Skipping this procedure can damage the disc surface and reduce braking performance. Use ceramic discs exclusively with the supplied CCM brake pads; pads for standard steel discs can damage the discs.
Combination with the front kit
For a complete brake upgrade, complement the braking system with the Racingline Stage 3+ CCM front brake kit or factory Audi front carbon-ceramic brakes. Together, they provide a balanced ceramic braking system, lower unsprung mass and consistent performance even under repeated braking.
